Effects of an In-house Entry Test on the Post-Foundation Students at an Omani College of Technology

This paper reports the findings of a study that investigated why large number test-takers show low performance in four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) offered an entry test used by College Technology Oman to place students advanced diploma bachelor’s degree programs. The main research question was meant find out what difficulties takers face three tests (Listening, two semesters. analyzed results for semesters including survey obtained from regarding experienced them analysis writing answer scripts. indicate most were not qualified enough pursue their studies or programs due test. findings, moreover, suggest current placement poses test-takers.
